It’s Time to Get Real

There is so much focus on meditating, getting into alignment and honing in our soul’s desires. This is such an important part of our spiritual journeys. It’s important to get into the proper soul and mind space to attract all we desire to create in our life’s experience here on earth. However, you may feel as though you have been working on that part of your journey for quite some time now. You’ve done the vision boarding, you’ve done the meditations, you’ve done the yoga, you’ve done the intention work, and things are still a bit sticky. What gives, universe?

This March’s full moon is a Super Moon, which occurs when the moon connects to “the perigee“.  In short, a Super Moon is when the moon is closest to the Earth. Those who are in strong alignment with the Moon’s pull may have felt a bit sluggish, tired and foggy in the past few days as we’ve led up to the full moon. Expect to finally find some clarity. This Super Moon will highlight what has been lacking in our execution. As Virgo is the sign of truth, we will be confronted with our own truths under the illumination of the Super Moon, showing us what we have been neglecting to put into action to make all of those desires fully come into fruition.

In short, it’s time to get real with ourselves. While the intention-writing is good, what have we been doing to actually make those visions come true? Are you ready to face what you need to do to move into the next phase?

The Door to The Next Phase

The entire month of March is a great one to embrace a new energy of transformation. Leverage the forward momentum you are feeling and allow yourself to step through the door to the next phase under this Full Moon. As a collective, we are so tied down to January as the start of our proverbial new beginnings. However, in March, we welcome the Spring Equinox and the start of the astrological year. This is the time to bloom and truly begin and invite proper transformation into new forms, new starts, new lives, new directions with full celestial support.

However, as we realize our own powers to create, it is important to keep our egos in check. While things may start to get easier and the possibility of positive change puts a spring into your step, be mindful of the energy you are sending out in to the world. It is important to remain grateful and humble. Further to that, in order for us to move into the next phase, it is important we accept the past and forgive versions of ourself that are no longer aligned with the person we are becoming.

Accept and Forgive

In order to move forward, extend kindness to your past self. In times of trouble, we often find ways to cope that are not always productive or aligned with our higher selves. It is important not to dwell on who you once were or where you once were. Extend forgiveness to your past self. Send love to that person who did their best with the circumstances they had. And be prepared to move forward into the exciting new phase that lays before you.

Spring Is Here

In short, spring is upon us and we have the opportunity to leave behind a dark time, one of fogginess, insecurity and unknowing. Lean into the opportunities that lend promise for happiness under this Super Moon and get ready for a joyous new season.

Full Moon: March 20th-23rd

The March full moon in Libra marks the third and final Super Moon of 2019. Each full moon of this new year has been a Super Moon, meaning that the full moon has coincided with the moon’s closest proximity to the Earth during its orbit. This closer proximity renders the moon’s appearance larger in the sky and the effects of its energy to be more strongly felt here on earth. It is a beautiful time for gathering and manifesting your dreams.

Spring Equinox and New Beginnings

What’s even more beautiful about this full moon is that it happens during the Spring Equinox on March 20th-21st. The Spring Equinox is marked by the sun moving into the constellation Aries, whereby we on earth experience equal hours of day and light. The Spring Equinox represents the beginning of the astrological year, with Aries being the first sign in the zodiac, so we are called to embrace new beginnings.

While many of us mark our successes and progress from year to year, instances such as the March Super Moon gift us with an opportunity to assess where we are in to date in 2019 and edit accordingly. If you don’t like the direction something has been going, now is an amazing time to change it as required. The change in seasons causes natural shifts in our internal energy flow and in our relationship to our environment and others. It is important to sit with ourselves so we can learn which direction our energy is naturally inclined to. This Super Moon reminds us it’s perfectly alright to cut something or someone out of your life that once served you but no longer adds value. Life is short, so make sure everything you can control in your experience is of complete value to you, or get rid it. Or in other words, “Mary Kondo” your life! If it doesn’t spark joy, eliminate it.

Balance and Prosperity

In the same vein, a Full Moon in Libra will shine a light on where we need to find balance in our lives. We will see with greater clarity the things in life that drain us and the things that inspire us. Listen closely to what your inner guidance system is telling you, as this full moon Super Moon aligns us with a potent energy flow that has the capacity to unleash amazing potential and new beginnings. Unlike other full moons in which we are invited to move forward in action towards our hopes and dreams, the March full moon in Libra actually calls us to turn our focus inwards. The action we are encouraged to take this full moon is embedded in tuning into our inner energy flow and igniting what sparks joy (there it is again!).

When we ignite the fires that inspire us, prosperity and abundance ensue. When we eliminate what drains us, we are rewarded in new and fulfilling ways. For example, if your work pays well but leaves you feeling empty, tired and unhappy, what good is the money and where do you spend it? Work and money is an energy exchange. You will have greater respect for the money you earn when it comes from joyous pursuits.

You Are Precious

This full moon will open a new portal of higher consciousness that we can tune into if we make the time and clear the noise. Access this portal of self-discovery and set intentions to put yourself first this spring. With this Super Moon, we are invited to step into a new energy flow, and to activate stronger feelings of self-value and self-love. Your life has strong value, but it is very short. Let this Full Moon remind you of life’s preciousness, and respect your time on Earth by devoting it to your personal pursuit of joy.

Phew! It has been one crazy summer full of powerful celestial phenomenons. High planetary retrograde activity, combined with a series of powerful eclipses, a Blood moon, Super moons and more. If you are feeling a tad shook from it all, it’s completely understandable. In fact, this moon cycle will finalize a highly transformative summer for most of us, whether we are aware of it or not. Shifts happened within ourselves and out in our physical realm. For example; did you get a new job or big client? book a trip? have a baby? undergo a friend-group turnover? All transformations, big or small, that occurred this summer will be showing up in different ways through to the end of the year.

While July’s moon cycle called in the introspective feels of Cancer, as we step into August’s new moon on Saturday the 11th, we are invited to channel the powerful energies surrounding the brave and courageous Leo, the Lion. It may almost feel as though we have rested and reflected these past few months, set down the ground work, and really felt our way around our new roles and selves. All the while we were strengthening the foundations of our stages to ensure they are solid and firm for the next great phase in our lives. We are now finally ready to let the world see us for who we are and show what we can do.

The Solar Eclipse

Saturday’s new moon will align with a solar eclipse, a brief moment of darkness were we can finalize our intentions regarding what we want to achieve between now and the end of the year. Make sure to find a quiet and reflective moment during the new moon phase to write these intentions down clearly. Tell the universe EXACTLY what you want. Even if it may seem like too much, set the intention, and write down clearly (i.e. I want to make $5000 more a month). The universe has plenty for everyone. Play close heed to the 8 moon phases this month. Each will be extremely important in guiding you through this Lion cycle with intention and purpose.

You’re Going to Hear Me Roar! But Carefully 

The most important thing to remember for this August moon cycle is to allow the Lion within to come out. While being humble is always important, we are invited to celebrate our unique virtues and strengths this month, putting them to good use in order to get what we truly want. Embrace and channel confidence. Believe in yourself and give yourself the royal treatment. Lions are regal and strong.

But remember, Mercury remains in retrograde until August 17th, so while we are encouraged to speak our truth, do so with caution. Communication can get messy during this time. Further to that, don’t confuse bravery and confidence with pride and boastfulness as it can lead to embarrassment or loss. Practice humility, embrace discussion and evaluate all your options carefully before marching on into judgement or action.
