This season is all about doing what feels right to you and the Capricorn intelligence is backing you up every step. You’ve come a long way and acknowledging that is only the first step of an important journey. With the Winter Solstice, Wolf Moon, intuitive thinking, and more. This season (which lasts until Jan. 19th) is going to give you the energy you’ve been needing for that extra step up in your life.

The GOAT

Capricorn’s stick to themselves and then behind them is a world of knowledge. To put it simply, they are super wise and determined. As an analytical sign, their knowledge is always proven by facts, whether it’s been read in a book, documentary, art you name it, they know it or will be interesting in learning about it. They’re quiet but loud when they’re in their element. As an earth sign, they’re grounded, but as their own Capricorn selves, they can be choosey of who they hang with, so their inner circle is super important to them. Represented by the goat, it’s clear that they have a good leadership role. Think of those real-life GOATS (Greatest of All Time) in your life, chances are they’re a Capricorn.

Only Stretch for Workouts

If you’re feeling comfortable express yourself. If you want to chill then just observe from the side and enjoy whatever thoughts come up while people watch. You can either stress over a situation or choose to embrace the ride that’s ahead. Which will be a big theme this season. You’ll be feeling motivated to get things done and which will contribute to feeling content after. But don’t get too ahead of yourself. Make plans or do things that are within your limits. It’s not the time (it never is actually the time) to stretch yourself because you think it’s needed. Find a way to balance everything so you don’t end up feeling frustrated and overwhelmed.

Winter Has Arrived

On December 21st we’re welcoming the Winter Solstice also the shortest day of the year. What does this mean in terms of things coming up for the past, present, and future? Think of it as a rebirth. We’ve been carrying a lot on our shoulders so it’s time to take things into the New Year with a little less weight than we have been. Take the Winter Solstice prep for the upcoming year and sit with your thoughts, enjoy the outdoors, and unleash your creative side. The first full moon of 2022 will be on January 17th and is known as the Wolf Moon. The full moon will be in Cancer, so the strength from the wolf will be able to help keep the high emotions of the water sign calm. Stick with your pack going into 2022, you know who the real ones are.

Inner Circle Strength

Represented by half person half horse, they show characteristics of strength, resilience and power. When they walk into a room their presence is known. They’re super confident, and they’re happy to transfer that confidence to the people around them. The ones they love are so lucky because they’re extremely loyal and do everything possible to protect them. They like to stay feeling free so being tied down isn’t something they typically enjoy but will do it for their inner circle. They’re always thinking of the ones they love, even though they may not seem like it because their not much bothers them mantra.

Confidence is Key

You may find yourself taking on a lot in many aspects of life. As a half horse, Sag’s tends to carry the load of others. If people are opening up to you with personal stories, it may be heavy on your heart. You may also find your work life to be hectic, but remember it’s because you’re such an asset. So with that, time for self-care is extra needed during the next month. Write a list of all of the things that you love to do to tune into your most peaceful state and try to do once a day! Your relationships in life will be ready to take the deeper steps as your loyalty grows stronger. Really take in the moments that you notice opening up with family, friends, partners… Remember the confidence of a Sagittarius and stand tall!

The Many Moons of Sag Season

A new moon and solar eclipse land on December 4th, which means future intention making time. We’ve been working so hard at our dreams and maybe even feel like they’re too far away to reach some days. Write it all down. Put it on your vision board. Just get it out of your head and into the universe. Focus on the thing that you’re worried may or may not happen and instead of letting it consume you so you can’t take action, let it start taking action on its own. We’re going to be focusing a lot on our inner circle so we need to also take the time for ourselves. On December 18th, we’re welcoming the Full Moon (Cold Moon), which gets its name from the rather chilly months we have approaching. Get snuggled up in your layers and take the time to really chat this season.

Full Moon: September 20th – 21st

Keywords: organize, work, collaborate, trust, commitment, recuperate, take breaks

It’s time to take a break from the heat and chill out. Virgo season is all about getting tasks done and as summer comes to it’s time to get our grinds on, productively. We’ve taken the time to have fun in Leo season so now it’s time to take the confidence we’ve been carrying with us to Virgo season. This next month is filled with ambition, opportunity and success personally and professionally. From August 23rd to September 22nd, get ready to put in the work while living your best life.

Ambition Here We Come

Ruled by Mercury which is all about communication, this earth sign is super focused and ready to complete the task at hand with little distractions. This analytical sign has a big brain and heart which gives them a powerful stance when it comes to putting their all into projects, passions and people. With loyalty running deep it can be easy to depend on Virgo’s if you have their trust and love. By being willing to go above and beyond for the people they’re the closest to, they need to be weary to bend and not break. They’re very reliable and can count on them to follow through with their word and commitment. Represented by the Virgin who recognizes the angel and devils we both carry on our shoulders and which direction to go with. Virgo’s including Pink, Mother Theresa, Prince Harry, Beyoncé, Keanu Reeves are all prime examples of individuals who have worked their way to be known by standing by what they believe in and working hard to get there.

Work-Life Balance

This next month is all about getting down to business. If you find yourself having racing thoughts, take a minute to stop and reflect on what your chaotic thoughts are about. Just because we’re staying focused, doesn’t mean we don’t have time for some fun. This could be a perfect opportunity to collaborate with someone(s) to expand on your own ideas and stay chatty while working. While we can get wrapped up in trying to get things done as fast as possible and squeeze in as many items into our day that we possibly can, it’s crucial to give yourself breaks. Let this be a good goal-setting time for the next few work months on how you can get your work done without sacrificing your mental and physical health, plans and more to get it done. Maybe this means altering your routine to create some extra me-time or scheduling designated break times and actually not thinking about work from your work. Putting all of these into practice will bring you to getting more work done and with a more upbeat attitude about the work ahead. I think we can tell why school was meant to start in September.

New Moon, Harvest Moon & Fall Equinox

A new moon in Virgo will appear Septmber 6th to welcome intention setting and give as half-way check-in point for this season. On September 20th we’ll witness the Harvest Moon known for its yellow appearance and as a sign to finish any tasks before things start to get a little chillier. September 22nd starts the autumnal equinox, also the first day of fall. This marks the sun rising and setting later, beautiful crisp leaves and cooler afternoons. Take time to make personal goals as well as the professional ones we mentioned. It can be super easy to get wrapped up in the hustle of to-do lists that we forgot to do ourselves. It’s also not time to be a perfectionist either. Making a goal to the journal is productive as we’re already in the groove of getting things done and it’s personal writing without needing an approval or higher-up edit. Throw on the old classic Harvest Moon by Neil Young and soak up the rest of warm nights.

Full Moon: June 24th – The Strawberry Moon

Keywords: emotions, conversations, vulnerability, growth

Hey Summer

On June 21st, we welcomed the summer solstice, which marks the first day of summer and the beginning of Cancer season. The solstice also marks the halfway point of the year, where we acknowledge, celebrate and reflect on the last six months and what is to come for the remainder of the year. This time is all about self-reflection, so journaling can come in handy; to review what has happened and plan for the times ahead. You can find out more about this transitioning season that lasts until July 22nd, in one of our previous articles on the importance of rituals

Let’s Get Wet

Other than warm weather, longer nights and the sun-shining (while wearing SPF), we have got a lot of growing and feeling to do. First things first, there will be some heavy, maybe even teary moments because we are in Cancer after all. They run by emotions which causes them to be known as the most sensitive sign, but they are also very nurturing, which lets them care so much about those around them. We may find ourselves feeling all types of emotions during this season, it’s only right considering Cancer is a water sign, but being vulnerable gives us the best opportunities to grow. Cancer is ruled by the moon, which is all about intuition, wisdom and knowledge, which may make you feel wise beyond your years. They are represented by the crab, which symbolizes how the sign is shy and then will open up out of their shell once they get comfortable.

For The Ones We Love

We’ve all been on quite a ride with the pandemic and this Cancer season is about moving forward with your past to create a more meaningful future. Now is the perfect time to show compassion for those around you since this sign fuels our empathetic side, allowing us to feel almost exactly what those around us do. This protective sign gives us the chance to open up to our loved ones about those hard conversations on what is causing us to feel held back. It’s a great time to make some communication progress for emotionally packed chats, while both parties are feeling more open to being vulnerable over the next month or so. Remember those conversations with yourself too, because the better you are doing the more you can cope with the information you are taking in from other’s emotions.

Home is Where the Peace is

With things opening back up, we definitely will be enjoying being out but it’s a great time to reconnect with our home. Now that we can travel more, it will be a needed reminder of how our homes help us recharge. With being home so much, some of us may be feeling drained, by remembering that it should be a place of peace for us is super important and key in Cancer. This is the perfect time to do some self-reflection on how we can use the strategies we’ve built up over the past year to help us manage our emotional side for the future months to come. If you’re looking to rejuvinate up the spaces in your home, check out our past article on Feng Shui, to amp up the vibes in your house with plants.

The Strawberry Moon:

This full moon, which was on June 24th, was the first full of the summer season and the last of spring. The name, Strawberry Moon, comes from Indigenous Peoples, who used it as a sign to harvest strawberries, which became ripe at this time. Also, because of the way that the moon resembles the fruit with its pink colour. Though not considered a super moon, it appeared full in the sky in the late afternoon, while the sun was still out, as if it wasn’t unique enough.

What’s New?

Mercury Retrograde (May 29 to June 22) – this will help bring some balance back into our lives. It will take away some of that added internal and external back and forth we can’t seem to shake to help us feel more aligned.

Jupiter Retrograde (June 20 to Oct. 18) – reflect on the goals you set out for yourself over the last six months and be proud of what you’ve accomplished. Use this confidence to humbly grow and continue to evolve these goals for the rest of the year.

Neptune Retrograde (June 25 to Dec. 1) – with this arrangement we’ll start to see things a little bit more clearly. We’ll be opening up our minds to see things without the fantasy lens, which may help us reach our realistic goals sooner.

Full Moon: March 9-11

Keywords: Transformation,  intensity, acceptance, next steps, new phase, the bigger picture, taking action

It’s Time to Get Real

There is so much focus on meditating, getting into alignment and honing in our soul’s desires. This is such an important part of our spiritual journeys. It’s important to get into the proper soul and mind space to attract all we desire to create in our life’s experience here on earth. However, you may feel as though you have been working on that part of your journey for quite some time now. You’ve done the vision boarding, you’ve done the meditations, you’ve done the yoga, you’ve done the intention work, and things are still a bit sticky. What gives, universe?

This March’s full moon is a Super Moon, which occurs when the moon connects to “the perigee“.  In short, a Super Moon is when the moon is closest to the Earth. Those who are in strong alignment with the Moon’s pull may have felt a bit sluggish, tired and foggy in the past few days as we’ve led up to the full moon. Expect to finally find some clarity. This Super Moon will highlight what has been lacking in our execution. As Virgo is the sign of truth, we will be confronted with our own truths under the illumination of the Super Moon, showing us what we have been neglecting to put into action to make all of those desires fully come into fruition.

In short, it’s time to get real with ourselves. While the intention-writing is good, what have we been doing to actually make those visions come true? Are you ready to face what you need to do to move into the next phase?

The Door to The Next Phase

The entire month of March is a great one to embrace a new energy of transformation. Leverage the forward momentum you are feeling and allow yourself to step through the door to the next phase under this Full Moon. As a collective, we are so tied down to January as the start of our proverbial new beginnings. However, in March, we welcome the Spring Equinox and the start of the astrological year. This is the time to bloom and truly begin and invite proper transformation into new forms, new starts, new lives, new directions with full celestial support.

However, as we realize our own powers to create, it is important to keep our egos in check. While things may start to get easier and the possibility of positive change puts a spring into your step, be mindful of the energy you are sending out in to the world. It is important to remain grateful and humble. Further to that, in order for us to move into the next phase, it is important we accept the past and forgive versions of ourself that are no longer aligned with the person we are becoming.

Accept and Forgive

In order to move forward, extend kindness to your past self. In times of trouble, we often find ways to cope that are not always productive or aligned with our higher selves. It is important not to dwell on who you once were or where you once were. Extend forgiveness to your past self. Send love to that person who did their best with the circumstances they had. And be prepared to move forward into the exciting new phase that lays before you.

Spring Is Here

In short, spring is upon us and we have the opportunity to leave behind a dark time, one of fogginess, insecurity and unknowing. Lean into the opportunities that lend promise for happiness under this Super Moon and get ready for a joyous new season.

Full Moon: December 12-14

Keywords: stirring, duality and pairs, opportunity for final release, healing, self-care, internal check-in, intensity, love and money matters

Restore Balance
It’s no secret that 2019 moved quickly and took no prisoners. If you’re feeling tired and drained at the end of this year, you aren’t alone. In fact, you may just be looking at the next few weeks with a prayer in your heart that you’ll make it through.

You may have been putting an extreme amount of focus and energy in one area of your life while other areas, including your self-care, went on the back burner. Take a moment and reflect upon where you perhaps dedicated an unbalanced amount of energy this past year and what tensions or upsets that may have caused you. For example, have you been hyper-focused on challenges at work while pushing your mental and physical health to the side? Or have you been over-serving in a one-ended relationship, while neglecting your own needs and undermining your sense of self-worth? Under this full moon, we will find that the imbalances that we have been feeding over the past 6 months are highlighted. We have a choice to make; will you bring these imbalances into the new year or will you set healthy boundaries for your energy and heart?

Embrace Solitude

In our reflections of 2019, don’t be afraid to step aside and make time for solitude so that you can catch up with your heart, mind and body. You may find information in the quiet that will serve you as you set your intentions for the year ahead. In fact, why not take out a big black marker and black out feelings, relationships, and positions that you know have no place in your new year. Honour the people and situations that brought learning lessons to your door, express your gratitudes and don’t be afraid to move on alone if necessary until you find the right pack to roll with.

As Matters Unfold In Love and Money

If you are entering this full moon with uncertainty in your heart and matters left unresolved in important areas such as love and money, expect that tensions in these areas will start to reach their height with this full moon with influencing astrological measures at play. Matters that have been simmering for the past 6 months will finally start to boil. You can take that hot energy and catapult it to your success or you can let it consume you. Trust that you will find resolution to what has been causing you inner turmoil soon,  but remember that you must play a strong role to ensure the scales are balanced in everyone’s favour. Your 2020 karma depends on it.

Above All, Be Kind

Whether 2019 is ending on the note you wanted or you are surprised with the hand you have been dealt, understand that there will be intensity under this full moon. While it can be difficult to stay calm and assured under pressure aggravated by a year end and full moon, remember to breathe and find kindness in your heart. ‘Tis the season after all. Express love not only to others, but also to yourself. It’s been a big year and you deserve it.

Full Moon: November 12-15

Keywords: abundance, turning dreams into reality, rewards, release, positivity, embrace, financial uplift, strength, stability and energy

Can you feel it? There’s a collective uplift in mood and a sense of security and positivity. After months of not knowing what was coming down the pipe, of worry and feelings of insecurity, of intense energy that pushed so much to the surface, this full moon in Taurus is finally confronting us with the truth. And the truth is, things aren’t so bad after all. In fact, they are pretty amazing.

2019 was a year of truth. Many of us were called to come face to face with our shadows, our inner truths and our deepest fears. Why am I not happy? Am I feeling challenged enough? Am I being pushed too hard? What changes do I need to make? Who or what in my personal life is no longer serving me? Am I willing or trusting enough to let go?

Sweet Release

For many of us, this full moon in Taurus will bring a great sense of release. We overcame a lot in this past year, and faced a lot of hard truths. And at the end of the day, the world didn’t end. The changes didn’t damage us. We are still here and we are strong and there is great power in that. So honour your year under this full moon and allow stresses and burdens to melt away. Throw unnecessary worries from yourself and focus on the possibilities that ahead, for there are many great opportunities under this full moon and we will do well to open our hearts to the bounty that is up for grabs.

Harvest and Abundance

A theme of the Taurus full moon is one of abundance, especially in areas of finance. It’s time to cash in on your hard work. Allow new possible streams of financial rewards and allow them to flow into your life. You have certainly worked hard this year and it is time to harvest with a heart of full of gratitude. The full moon around Taurus is an excellent time to seek out new financial gains or to simply allow them to flow into your life. Remove any resistance you may have towards your gains. You are worthy of receiving.

That said, be mindful that your focus is not resting too hard in the material world. While financial abundance can bring a sense of security, remember that happiness does not come from things. Invest and save money wisely and do not be seduced by material things that promise quick fixes to non-problems.

Make It Happen

The time has come. Planetary alignment is on our side during this full moon, increasing our chances of making magic happen. Our dreams and goals have a supercharged energy behind them. Put in the extra work, the extra meditation, the extra intention and manifest what you came for when we started 2019. Make it happen and remember to express gratitude along the way. If things didn’t turn out exactly as planned, reflect and look to lessons we can embrace. Take what you have learned and embrace the bounty. Allow the beautiful life you came here to experience happen. You are worthy.

Full Moon: October 13-16

Keywords: release, new beginnings, leadership, progress, improvement, positivity, enjoyment

It is not surprising that this particular Full Moon falls over the Thanksgiving weekend, a time when we are called to express gratitude for our blessings. The astro-energy of October has been tense and rigid. You may have felt on edge, irritable, cautious and quick to anger and judgement. Various planetary alignments occurring since the beginning of the month and early this year have worked alongside transformational shifts both in our personal lives and on a global scale. We can observe this as we head into election time here in Canada and as conversations and international news start to become ever more intense. In short, we can expect 2020 to be a life-transforming year, one that we can start to create for ourselves more consciously in the final months of 2019.

Where Were You In April?

Taking a step back and reviewing where you were in April 2019 against where you are in this present moment is an excellent way to view your process and personal transformation. Were you challenged in some intense way? Where you asked to make big changes or step into new roles, personally and/or professionally?  Chances are your mindset and life position was different than it is currently. The last five-six months may have thrown challenges and obstacles our way, indeed. How did we overcome these challenges? Did we recover with grace? Or did we fall and collapse? Whatever the answer, this full moon will bring us into a spotlight, inviting us to release past ideas and habits, relationships and situations so that we can head into the new year with arms open for new and wonderful things to come. Let go of what was holding you back.

Release, Release, Release

If you have one mantra for this full moon, let it be “I release”. Release past expectations of who you thought you were meant to be. Release the tension and edgy irritability or need to control situations. Holding onto these things will simply work to hold you down. This full moon, we are finally granted permission to release the past and accept a free flowing sense of better energy and better circumstances. You deserve what you want, and only by releasing past expectations or belief patterns that do not serve will you get it.

Become a Leader in your Life

As Aries is the first sign in the zodiac, we are encouraged to leverage this leadership energy and step into our personal power for the new year that is speeding our way. Now is the time to put down your intentions and determine how you want 2020 to look for you. Embrace leadership, embrace the opportunity to step into the spotlight of your own life and start managing its direction. Refuse to take the back seat. Ask for exactly what you want and breathe freely into the new spaces you will start to manifest for yourself.

Full Moon: September 13-17

Keywords: grounding, illumination, humble, remain open, spiritual, harvest

This powerful full moon upon is falls in the watery, dreamy and sensitive sign of Pisces. This is the final full moon of the season, the full moon before the Autumn Equinox, named the Harvest Moon and a time when the light allows farmers to work a little later into the night as they strive to get their summer crops in before fall. While most full moons arise about 50 minutes after sunset, a Harvest moon will share its light approximately 10 minutes after sunset, meaning we are getting extra time to get everything we need from the seeds we planted this summer, while preparing for the colder season ahead. Isn’t astronomy beautiful?

But Why Am I So Sad?

If you are feeling as emo as a Neil Young song, you aren’t alone. Things are coming up as a revelatory summer comes to an end. We are invited to reflect back to where we were during during June’s full moon and summer solstice and see what has developed since, where we have grown, what we have shed, what we have built and created and what we have learned. Transformation combined with seasons and eras coming to an end is bound to bring out one’s emotional tendencies, especially if we are ultra connected to our spiritual energy. The extra light of the full moon brings even more illumination to specific areas in our life that are calling for nurture and attention. You may be feeling raw, exposed, and emotional. For some, that emotion manifests itself as anger so be observant of your responses to certain situations, as well as how others respond to you.

Illumination and Clarity

The extra light of the Harvest moon offers us the opportunity to connect with our own need for clarity on certain situations that may not be sitting quite right at the moment. Take time this full moon to observe your present life and reflect on areas, habits, and people that are absolutely and truly not serving you anymore. We have access to greater clarity under this full moon so do not ignore what comes up. Listen to your heart and observe the signs you are getting. It’s time to shed old stagnant layers from your life, just as the trees drop their leaves. Say thank you. Move on.

Find Your Footing

This is an important full moon for grounding ourselves. Because the opportunity for greater clarity is strong, we may find ourselves caught up in day dreams and wishing and wanting. Letting yourself expand your consciousness is a beautiful thing, but remember that we must keep our footing in reality in order to make those dreams come true. Manifestation and law of attraction works by visualization and alignment, it’s true. But only if we are putting in the necessary work. So get to work on your dreams this full moon. You are being supported by extra energies. It’s time to put those visualizations to work. This is a powerful full moon and you are being guided, step by step towards the outcome you want. So step, step, step!

Humility and Grace

As you find yourself moving in the right direction, don’t be surprised if the universe sends you signs of “beginner’s luck” to encourage you to keep moving forward. Stay humble with the gifts you are receiving. Accept what comes your way with grace and kindness and continue to remain open to even more. When we become too cocky or over-sure, we are emitting negative vibrations that can skew our receptive frequencies. With every sign and gift you receive this full moon, receive with the greatest humility and gratitude.

Full Moon: August 15-18

Keywords: Fiery love, relationships, passion, tension, opportunity for servitude, community, emotional conflict, creativity, financial focus, patience, understanding

Is There Such a Thing as Too Grounded?

Sometimes. While being grounded is typically a good thing, oftentimes we can find ourselves so fully rooted in the cause and circumstances of our time here on earth that we forget to actually enjoy the beauty that truly is life! Life in all its glory includes the ups, the downs, trials and tribulations and the way we deal with challenging people and circumstances. The astrological and moon cycles of this summer have truly challenged us reflect upon who we are,  our purpose, our relationships and our place on earth. While it is wonderful to lend time to contemplation here and again, it can become all consuming when we allow ourselves to get distracted with situations, people and things that simply will not matter in a year from now. As humans, we can become so deeply rooted in the earth’s comings and goings that we forget to enjoy the lives we have created for ourselves.

During this beautiful full moon in Aquarius, we are invited to get out of our own heads for a bit and take a deep dive into the glorious unknown.

Heal and Serve

There is truly a healer within all of us. Aquarius is an air sign, and carries the traits of a humanitarian. This full moon, the energies of Aquarius encourage us to tap into our giving sides and observe those around us in our immediate groups or communities who could use extra support. By removing the focus from our own needs and spending our energy on serving others, we will automatically develop rich karmic connections this full moon that will bring great gifts in the future. So put aside some time over the next few days to see where you can offer support and love to someone or a cause close to your heart. Remember though, in order to heal others, you must ensure that your own cup is full. So take time to fill your own cup this full moon by giving energy to what lifts your spirits.

This Sex is On Fire

As this full moon is opposite the planet Venus, our love lives and relationships may be brought to the forefront. This particular planetary placement lends possibility to potential tension in matters of the heart. As such, it is important to be practice patience in your relationships if you see matters start to get off track. You may find you are longing for fulfillment and attachment in love and as such, a perceived lack in this area can potentially send some in the direction of immediate gratification in the form of overspending, eating or drinking. If you find your heart is longing to expend love and you feel you have no one to spread that too, see above. Extend the love to yourself or embrace serving your community in a productive and kind way.

You’re Already Rich

While financial matters may also be brought to the forefront this full moon, we will do well to remind ourselves of our present riches. Practicing gratitude for our blessings this full moon will offer rewards tenfold. Stepping into an abundance mindset will work towards manifesting riches beyond our dreams.

Above All, Patience

During the full moon in Aquarius, we may find ourselves still in the middle of where we were and where we want to go. Patience, reflection and gratitude are our best friends. Practicing self-love and spending time showing your loved ones how you care will go a long way. Don’t look too far ahead. Take a swim and enjoy the pleasant, gentle movement of the stream of life.
