Full Moon: September 20th – 21st

Keywords: organize, work, collaborate, trust, commitment, recuperate, take breaks

It’s time to take a break from the heat and chill out. Virgo season is all about getting tasks done and as summer comes to it’s time to get our grinds on, productively. We’ve taken the time to have fun in Leo season so now it’s time to take the confidence we’ve been carrying with us to Virgo season. This next month is filled with ambition, opportunity and success personally and professionally. From August 23rd to September 22nd, get ready to put in the work while living your best life.

Ambition Here We Come

Ruled by Mercury which is all about communication, this earth sign is super focused and ready to complete the task at hand with little distractions. This analytical sign has a big brain and heart which gives them a powerful stance when it comes to putting their all into projects, passions and people. With loyalty running deep it can be easy to depend on Virgo’s if you have their trust and love. By being willing to go above and beyond for the people they’re the closest to, they need to be weary to bend and not break. They’re very reliable and can count on them to follow through with their word and commitment. Represented by the Virgin who recognizes the angel and devils we both carry on our shoulders and which direction to go with. Virgo’s including Pink, Mother Theresa, Prince Harry, Beyoncé, Keanu Reeves are all prime examples of individuals who have worked their way to be known by standing by what they believe in and working hard to get there.

Work-Life Balance

This next month is all about getting down to business. If you find yourself having racing thoughts, take a minute to stop and reflect on what your chaotic thoughts are about. Just because we’re staying focused, doesn’t mean we don’t have time for some fun. This could be a perfect opportunity to collaborate with someone(s) to expand on your own ideas and stay chatty while working. While we can get wrapped up in trying to get things done as fast as possible and squeeze in as many items into our day that we possibly can, it’s crucial to give yourself breaks. Let this be a good goal-setting time for the next few work months on how you can get your work done without sacrificing your mental and physical health, plans and more to get it done. Maybe this means altering your routine to create some extra me-time or scheduling designated break times and actually not thinking about work from your work. Putting all of these into practice will bring you to getting more work done and with a more upbeat attitude about the work ahead. I think we can tell why school was meant to start in September.

New Moon, Harvest Moon & Fall Equinox

A new moon in Virgo will appear Septmber 6th to welcome intention setting and give as half-way check-in point for this season. On September 20th we’ll witness the Harvest Moon known for its yellow appearance and as a sign to finish any tasks before things start to get a little chillier. September 22nd starts the autumnal equinox, also the first day of fall. This marks the sun rising and setting later, beautiful crisp leaves and cooler afternoons. Take time to make personal goals as well as the professional ones we mentioned. It can be super easy to get wrapped up in the hustle of to-do lists that we forgot to do ourselves. It’s also not time to be a perfectionist either. Making a goal to the journal is productive as we’re already in the groove of getting things done and it’s personal writing without needing an approval or higher-up edit. Throw on the old classic Harvest Moon by Neil Young and soak up the rest of warm nights.

Full Moon: September 13-17

Keywords: grounding, illumination, humble, remain open, spiritual, harvest

This powerful full moon upon is falls in the watery, dreamy and sensitive sign of Pisces. This is the final full moon of the season, the full moon before the Autumn Equinox, named the Harvest Moon and a time when the light allows farmers to work a little later into the night as they strive to get their summer crops in before fall. While most full moons arise about 50 minutes after sunset, a Harvest moon will share its light approximately 10 minutes after sunset, meaning we are getting extra time to get everything we need from the seeds we planted this summer, while preparing for the colder season ahead. Isn’t astronomy beautiful?

But Why Am I So Sad?

If you are feeling as emo as a Neil Young song, you aren’t alone. Things are coming up as a revelatory summer comes to an end. We are invited to reflect back to where we were during during June’s full moon and summer solstice and see what has developed since, where we have grown, what we have shed, what we have built and created and what we have learned. Transformation combined with seasons and eras coming to an end is bound to bring out one’s emotional tendencies, especially if we are ultra connected to our spiritual energy. The extra light of the full moon brings even more illumination to specific areas in our life that are calling for nurture and attention. You may be feeling raw, exposed, and emotional. For some, that emotion manifests itself as anger so be observant of your responses to certain situations, as well as how others respond to you.

Illumination and Clarity

The extra light of the Harvest moon offers us the opportunity to connect with our own need for clarity on certain situations that may not be sitting quite right at the moment. Take time this full moon to observe your present life and reflect on areas, habits, and people that are absolutely and truly not serving you anymore. We have access to greater clarity under this full moon so do not ignore what comes up. Listen to your heart and observe the signs you are getting. It’s time to shed old stagnant layers from your life, just as the trees drop their leaves. Say thank you. Move on.

Find Your Footing

This is an important full moon for grounding ourselves. Because the opportunity for greater clarity is strong, we may find ourselves caught up in day dreams and wishing and wanting. Letting yourself expand your consciousness is a beautiful thing, but remember that we must keep our footing in reality in order to make those dreams come true. Manifestation and law of attraction works by visualization and alignment, it’s true. But only if we are putting in the necessary work. So get to work on your dreams this full moon. You are being supported by extra energies. It’s time to put those visualizations to work. This is a powerful full moon and you are being guided, step by step towards the outcome you want. So step, step, step!

Humility and Grace

As you find yourself moving in the right direction, don’t be surprised if the universe sends you signs of “beginner’s luck” to encourage you to keep moving forward. Stay humble with the gifts you are receiving. Accept what comes your way with grace and kindness and continue to remain open to even more. When we become too cocky or over-sure, we are emitting negative vibrations that can skew our receptive frequencies. With every sign and gift you receive this full moon, receive with the greatest humility and gratitude.

The Full Moon is In Aries and We're Fired Up Blog Image

There’s something about fall, isn’t there? This summer had us spinning every which way under an intense heat that invited us to turn inwards and figure out what we are really all about. The work we’ve been putting in, consciously or not, will have ample opportunity to demonstrate its fruits during this beautiful season of harvest and gratitude. As we’re coming off of a restorative and reflective Gibbous moon and Autumn Equinox, we are likely feeling ready to leap into the next phase of our journey with a giant push, driven by our intuition and our passion.

Ignite the Fire of Aries

What better way to step into this next phase than leveraging the powerful and fiery energy of Aries? The new moon in Virgo helped us clear our closets to make room for what we really want. With a clear mind, our intentions were made apparent to the universe, even if they may still feel a little unclear to us. With the Full Moon in Aries, we are invited to leverage the traits of this fire sign to our benefit and manifest what our hearts desire for 2019.

Follow. Your. Intuition.

An Aries is highly intuitive. While our inner being is always our guiding system, it will be even more accessible to us over the next few days. However, an Aries can also be highly impulsive. So we must take care not to confuse or combine our intuition with impulsivity. There is a difference between acting on our intuition and throwing caution to the wind, due to impatience and impulse. Ensure that you listen carefully to what your intuition reveals to you during this full moon and act accordingly for best results.

While a full moon in Aries can highlight our passions and bring a lively energy to ourselves and our projects, make sure that everything you start with this energy is completed, as Aries’ can tend to leave things mid-way. Don’t let your inner fire sputter and fade, drifting your attention to something else that may not be a good use of your time. It is also important that we tame our fire and passion, channelling it into a creative force of positive good, rather than letting it lead us astray. The fire and passion of a Full moon in Aries is a powerful force, but if it is not channelled appropriately for our benefit, then we risk confrontations that will be emotionally draining or just a plain waste of valuable energy.

With the Full moon in Aries, we are invited to act on the fires within us and make what we want come to life. Listen to your heart, connect with likeminded people, give in to supportive situations that really speak to your inner being. Leverage the passion of this fire sign to call in the goods and get what you want for the new year. Light your torch and let your intuition take lead. Now is the time to get excited!

Embrace the Spirituality of the Autumn Equinox Blog Image

Autumn/Fall Equinox: September 23rd, 2019

What Is It? When the Southern and Northern Hemispheres experience an equal amount of daylight. In the Northern Hemisphere it marks the beginning of fall, when daylight hours start to shorten until winter Solstice in December.

Key Words: Reflection, change, harvest, gratitude

The spiritual meaning of the fall equinox can be found in the holiday of Mabon, celebrated in Paganism and other faiths that revolve around nature. Mabon marks the middle of the harvest cycle, a time when we are called to reflect upon and recognize the bounty that Mother Earth has brought to us over the past year. This is a time when we express great gratitude for a bountiful harvest and start to stock our pantries for the colder months ahead.

As many of us have transitioned our work from the fields to more modern methods of harvesting and creating bountiful existences, the Autumn equinox can be viewed as a magical time to honour our growth and abundance from a spiritual, professional, financial and relationship perspective. Finding ways to give thanks to yourself for all you have achieved over the past year is an important part of your journey. The more gratitude you give, the more reasons you will find you have to be grateful.

A way to tap into the spirituality of this Autumn equinox is to set aside a dedicated time of reflection and gratitude. Reflect on where you were this time last year in each area of your life that you find relevant; self-love, partnerships, work, etc.  Honour your journey and symbolize your gratitude with the simple lighting of a candle or new addition to your altar, such as a crystal that inspires and speaks your reflective energy. You can even do something a little less woo-woo like place a pumpkin on your doorstep to honour the abundance you have manifested.

Further to, the Autumn equinox is a time when both the days and nights are equal in length, inviting us to recognize what areas in our lives are craving balance. For example, if you have been scurrying away during the harvest season and running yourself a bit ragged, you are invited to surrender to your body’s important need for rest and recovery. These next couple days are a magical time to call balance into your life through self-care and meditation. We happen to love that we are in a resting period of the moon’s cycle (Gibbous) during this equinox, which allows us to pass our trust over to the universe that everything is happening exactly as it should.

Enjoy this Autumn equinox. Rest and prepare for the next phase of your journey.
