Woman staring in reflection with disco moon behind her

In true Libra fashion, we can expect this upcoming season to be filled with three c’s confidence, care and commitments. We’ll be out and about a lot more than usual from the influence of this social sign and we’ll love every minute of it. From distanced chats with strangers on the street to throwing a soiree with your besties, this next month is going to be filled with plans. On September 22nd we started the season for the socials and it lasts until October 22nd. This season also starts the first day of fall and we all know what that means…sugar, spice and everything nice.

Big Hearts, Bigger Plans

This air sign is very much a go-with-the-flow type of person, which is what creates their chill aura. They’re super kind, caring creative and you can count on them to do the right thing. Being super social people that can hold a conversation no matter who they’re talking to, and their lively and kind personalities make them loved by everyone. Their need to be social can sometimes get them into a jam since they’re constantly saying yes when maybe they should be saying no. Not to mention, loyal and are a really good partner, friend, sibling, co-worker, you name it. Which also makes them super empathetic and can get their mind in a whirl when they’re taking on the problems of those around them. The sign of balance makes them an optimal candidate to give a non-biased opinion. They serve for justice and will do anything to take down the bad guy, being an awesome sidekick to have. They can come off a bit self-centered but it’s only because they’re trying to figure out how to make the best possible plan out of the situation. This can also cause them some stress because they’re always trying to do the right thing. Ruled by Venus, this beauty-driven sign is one to watch and keep close.

Social Butterflies

Your social life to soar this upcoming month. Libra energy is going to bring out our party animals and bring out the joy in plans rather than the potential stresses. We’ll be looking forward to making plans and we’re ready to step out of our comfort zones after being in our own surroundings for so long. Break out of our cocoons before we tell ourselves to snuggle back in them when winter comes. With mandatory vaccination passports set in place in Canada for going out most places as of September 22nd, in line with Libra aka social season. We’ve spent Virgo season hustling and being analytical so now it’s time to reward ourselves. Allow yourself to enjoy all of the activities and take in all of the love that you’re going to be given. Use that Venus energy to dress in an outfit you’ve been thinking of wearing but haven’t been feeling bold enough to. It’s important that we stay confident and optimistic like a true Libra with Mercury in Retrograde joining us.

Keeping Our Cool

There’s strong energy this upcoming season. Libra’s full moon lands on October 20th and goes by Hunter’s Moon as which was used as a symbolism for a time to start collecting for winter. The full moon is in Aries, which acts as an action plan and gives us the determination it takes to get the work done. This is a time to take a look at exactly what you want and figure how to make it a reality. Mercury Retrograde is from September 27th to October 18th and is the third of 2021. If you’re experiencing tech delays, extra traffic, conversations that don’t lead anywhere and canceled plans, the retrograde is responsible for that. It’s an interesting time for the Mercury Retrograde with Libra’s being social butterflies, but it’s good because they keep an open mind. That’ll give us the strength to not lose our cool if things don’t go as planned but take it as an opportunity to create another adventure. The start of Libra season also marks the autumn equinox, so things are going to get cozy. Enjoy all the pumpkin, cinnamon goodness that comes with this time (if you can consume them) and watch the leaves turn for some much-needed R&R.

New Moon: February 23-26

Change Is On The Horizon

Doesn’t it feel like 2020 has already been forever? While change seems to be all around us (people leaving for new roles and jobs, friends moving away, relationships ending or progressing) it may feel like you have been stuck with your own stagnant goal list. You have had things you’ve wanted to accomplish for a while now and it could feel like you’re trudging through waist-high mud to achieve. With Pisces acting as the last sign of the zodiac, a reflection of the past 12 months is entirely normal. Where were you this time last year? What progress has been made?

Don’t be surprised if things that started this time last year finally reach a conclusion or grant a sense of completion under this new moon. However, don’t expect a “flip of the light switch” instant change. Pisces energy is soft and subtle, encouraging us to go within to reflect upon the changes that are happening slowly around us. And as we’re in the midst of Mercury Retrograde (February 17-March 10), clear communication, concrete answers and resolutions are even harder to come by. So take it easy on yourself and your demand for answers and movement RIGHT NOW. Understand that good things come in due time. This new moon is a positive and uplifting one so look towards the horizon.

Bold and Beautiful

If you’ve been looking for a bit of a confidence booster, this new moon in Pisces is just what the naturopath ordered. As the new moon is sextile Mars, we will have access to strength and courage we may have been lacking recently. Long winters have the tendency to wear down hard, which can affect our how we feel about ourselves and ultimately blur our path forward. Use this new moon energy to break free of self sabotage and step forward in the strength that you know is laying underneath. You will have planetary alignment supporting you to make emboldened choices and literally let all the limitations you have been setting on yourself to float away into the Pisces water.

This new moon invites us to be bold in what we want and to believe that what we have been chasing for so long truly is on its way to us. The universe wants us to have exactly what we are envisioning, so keep steadfast in your dreams. Don’t let small things knock you off your path. This isn’t the time to feel sorry for yourself. Expect challenges as you move towards your goal, but embrace the softness of Pisces to reduce anxiety and and keep your eye on the prize.

You Can Do It

This is an excellent new moon to break free of self-imposed limitations – i.e. I can’t, it’s too far, it’s too hard, it’s taking too long, it’ll never happen. Anything and everything is possible with this new moon, and if we take time to address our wants and needs in a direct matter, our capacity for manifestation will be greatly heightened. Consider this new moon as a time of completion. Honour what is leaving your life (people, relationships, jobs, experiences) and clear space for the things you have been calling in for a long time. Sometimes we experience self-imposed blockages. Leave all self-sabotaging behind and move forward this new moon. Get what you want and what you deserve.

New Moon: November 26-29

Moon Cycle: November 26-December 24

Keywords: Release, ease, new beginning, start again, healing, reflection, honour, success, opportunities for abundance

The new moon in Sagittarius comes with a sweet sense of relief. If you felt that the past moon cycle which started in Scorpio on October 27th was a challenging time, full of inner conflict, tense emotions, unexpected changes, you can find comfort in this new moon cycle that falls in the wisdom-filled and healing vibrations of Sagittarius. With such a turbulent moon cycle (which included Mercury Retrograde to boot) behind us, it is a wonderful time in this new moon phase to rest in the dark and reflect upon the intentions you set, what manifested and what can be learned before you move into the final complete moon cycle of 2019.

Embrace Intuition, Breathe Through Change

While this new moon in Sagittarius brings a healing energy with it, we will be wise not to get too comfortable. Last moon cycle brought with it a feeling of disruption, a vibe of tension, fear of change and an array of challenges. Things were manifesting for us behind the scenes and many of us were confronted with the feeling of working so hard while waiting for results that never come. Understand that much of what happens to help direct our lives occurs behind the scenes and out of sight. So while we may be feeling as though nothing is coming to fruition, this new moon cycle may challenge that belief and bring swift change that could inspire feelings of fear or even a disbelief in our abilities to act as we must. Remember that we are all experiencing the same new moon and that others are feeling the same pressures and fears of rapid change. This can cause an atmosphere of irritability, anger and reaction.

If you find yourself in the midst of a tumultuous cycle, embrace the inherent wisdom of the centaur, the half-man, half-horse. Present in the human consciousness for centuries, the symbolic centaur can lend us a healing and wise energy while we decide where to aim our arrow next. Take time to find your breath. Moments of meditation and silence are when we are best able to tap into our intuition. Let your intuition comfort and guide you so that you can enjoy the ride.

Abundance On Tap

In spite of the tensions, there is opportunity to find the abundance you have been striving towards with this new moon. In fact, expect opportunities to present themselves to you and ensure you recognize them for what they truly are. Remain open and flexible and you will be in a better position to make the most of any situation that presents itself to you, finally generating the health, happiness and abundance you have been working towards. There is still plenty of time to ensure 2019 ends in your favour so manage any unexpected changes with grace and gratitude. They could be just the change you needed.

New Moon: March 6th

Key Words: Compassion, Spirituality, Enlightenment, Karmic Friendships and Soul Mates, Confidence, Charm, Charisma, Strength

The March New Moon in Pisces brings with it an invitation to swim to the surface of the emotions that January and February have snowed upon us. Many of us have felt buried, suffocated, confused, at a lost, and drained of energy with the harshness the past two winter months have bestowed upon our physical world. It is extremely difficult to remain open to new possibilities when our bodies are clenched hard against blustering snow and bone rattling cold.

Winter is an essential part of our spiritual journeys, although we may find it difficult to feel anything spiritual at all. The dead of the winter months is when we dive into ourselves and sometimes we hibernate so hard, we lose sense of selves in the darkness of our caves. We encounter our darkest versions of ourselves as well as the darkest versions of each other. This may explain why our relationships have felt strained, why we feel we have been pushing heavy rocks up steep hills, essentially leaving us with the feeling as though we are getting nowhere.

It’s Time to Embrace Light

You have been getting somewhere. The trauma and/or confusion you are feeling is in fact more transformation. With all growth comes pain. With all movement comes friction. With every insight gained, a past belief is lost. Allow the fluidity of the Pisces water sign to bring upwards momentum to your movement. Swim to the surface, for the light of spring is just around the corner. Stay attuned to the messages the universe is bringing to you, as this new moon will bring periods of enlightenment. You may feel a small uplift in your mentality as though a cloud is slowly clearing. Take time to stop and allow the messages to come through. Guidance is coming through now in many forms. Listen before you set your intentions for this next cycle.

Confidence and Karma

Move forward this new moon with confidence and leave fear behind. But ensure your confidence serves not only yourself, but others as well. The theme of karma is strong this moon cycle, so serve your friends and community with grace and charm. Karma will bring the friends and relationships you deserve into your life this month, so be open but also weary of your words and actions and how they may affect others, particularly with Mercury Retrograde. Communication requires strong attention.

Love, Light and Blessings

In short, the clouds will start to part this new moon and we will see the promises of spring soon, both physically and metaphorically. The pain you have experienced this winter is in fact growth and an opportunity for renewal and transformation. Indulge people and practices that delight and charm you, and that physically uplift you and support you. You will swim to the surface with treasures in your hand.

Reflecting on Mercury Retrograde: Working It to Your Advantage Blog Image

Mercury Retrograde Started July 26th, 2018 Ending August 18th, 2018

It’s no coincidence that the final days of Mercury Retrograde (ending on August 18th) coincide with a yin moon phase, and a Crescent Moon phase at that. Yin moon phases indicate that the energy offered from the moon serves us in a receptive manner, as opposed to a  yang phase which serves us in a active manner.

So what does this have to do with the current Mercury Retrograde we are presently experiencing? First thing’s first:

What Is Mercury Retrograde?

Four times a year, the planet Mercury is said to go into Retrograde, meaning that it appears to be moving in an opposite direction from the Earth. Simply put, planets move from east to west around the sun. Mercury in Retrograde refers to the four times a year when the planet moves from west to east around the sun, giving us on Earth the optical illusion that it is moving backwards.

Think about when you are driving on a highway and pass a car. The other car appears to be moving backwards, but it really is just moving slower than you. That other car is Mercury in this analogy.

What’s All The Hype About?

Mercury is recognized as the messenger of the Gods and the planet of communication and logistics. On a modern-day level, this means that we can expect interference in our daily conversations, emails, travels or when we are making plans. It may feel as though we are talking to loved ones and co-workers through a thick static, where messages are getting caught or missed.

Technology and travel can be highly effected during this time. Think back to the start of this Mercury Retrograde (July 26th). Did you experience any issues with your travel and technology? Did your TV stop working for no reason? Did you pop a tire?

This, of course, can be frustrating and is why Mercury Retrograde gets a bad rap.

What’s Good, Though?

On a woo-woo level, it is said that when Mercury goes into retrograde, he travels deep into the underground of our psyches, opening up the pathway to our base-level human consciousness, offering insight into past experiences and helping us gather information for the next phase in our journeys. Because we move so fast, we rarely have a chance to stop and reflect on how our past stories are shaping our present lives and future experiences.

When Mercury goes into retrograde, we are forced to slow down. Technology and travel will push back, forcing us to go inwards for insight. Your phone’s not working? Take five to meditate and download information from your higher self. Bus is late? Embrace the opportunity for a long, head clearing walk.

Patience is a virtue during this time and one that will be greatly rewarded. When Mercury goes into retrograde, its a time for data-collecting and reflection. Time alone is essential during Mercury Retrograde. You may have tapped into to some key insights about your life direction or relationships during this time. Mercury has a lot to reveal to us, and when it goes into retrograde, we have a greater opportunity to listen.

Making the Most of these Last Few Days

It’s no secret that this has been a super charged summer, one that was extremely transformative, whether you realized it or not. Shifts happened this summer and we are all susceptible to them. We absolutely LOVE the fact that the last few days of the Mercury Retrograde fall in a receptive yin moon phase, the Crescent Moon phase, when are called to stop and breathe into our final intentions of the summer, allowing them to permeate our bodies and minds.

We are invited to take advantage over the next few days of the final insights Mercury can offer us in its last days in Retrograde. Because the planet is retrograding through the fire sign of Leo, we may feel an opposing pull to rush into action. But remember, even Lions know when to lay low and observe, calculating the jungle before making their next move. Lay low over the next few days. Meditate and reflect. And most importantly, listen. The universe has messages for you and Mercury wants to help you receive them.
